16 mei Navigating the energy transition
The very force that is supplying, nurturing and driving forward the energy transition also finds itself under a lot of pressure at times. Municipal utilities are called upon to implement stipulated legislation in practice and meet the needs of their customers, all the while keeping their economic viability front of mind in a rapidly changing world. Municipal and local utilities represent the interface between the power grid and the consumers or prosumers.
Over the coming years, the expansion, digitalization and flexibilization of the grids will play a vital role when it comes to integrating PV systems, heat pumps and e-mobility as well as guaranteeing a reliable 24/7 power supply. Under the motto “Empowering Grids and Prosumers”, from June 19–21, 2024, EM-Power Europe provides utilities with the support they need to carry out their biggest tasks. This also includes the know-how shared at The smarter E Forum, where several sessions are aimed specifically at utilities, for example on the topic of digital transformation and innovative business models. Participation in the forum is free for all exhibition visitors.
The exhibition will be accompanied by the EM-Power Europe Conference, which will focus on the smart integration of decentralized renewable energy systems, grid management, digitalization and integration of flexibility, which, among other things, depends on the participation of end users. In six sessions, the conference will address the main issues and discuss them with relevant stakeholders from all across Europe. E.DSO, EASE, AVERE, Eurelectric, GEODE and smartEn will be participating as session partners.
The EM-Power Europe Utility Knowledge Exchange on June 20 offers an excellent opportunity for utilties to openly share challenges, ideas and solutions and network with peers from other renewable energy providers, grid operators, retailers and aggregators. There are 4 sessions, each focusing on a different topic, from cyber security and data interoperability to digital transformation and congestion management.
EM-Power Europe is part of the innovation hub The smarter E Europe, Europe’s largest alliance of exhibitions for the energy industry, at Messe München.
